Today’s real wedding feature is coming to you all the way from Cairo in Egypt – Carol & Andrè wed on a luxurious lush green estate and had a romantic pink and white roses themed wedding to blend in with the North African decor and surroundings.

We chose Plein Air, Cairo, Egypt as our wedding venue because I originate from Cairo, and wanted to have the wedding at home with family.
Once I put on my Maggie Sottero wedding dress, I knew nothing else would even compare! I felt like I could walk down the aisle that very instant.
Andrè wore a concrete design suit with custom changes and a bow tie. The groomsmen had their suits made locally.
We did not really have any wedding ideas before we decided on the venue. So we planned around the venue, making it the centre of the wedding theme – we married on a beautiful private estate with lots of greens and beautiful open spaces, so we planned from there.
Andre and the bridal party walked down the aisle to a medley of “Love Story and Viva La Vida”.
Both of my parents walked me down the aisle to the traditional wedding march.
The first look was one of the most memorable moments of the day. All of the anticipation and all of the planning and preparation that was building up to that moment. I’m glad we did that prior to the ceremony, we got a few minutes just to ourselves, just to take it all in.
We chose a local florist for the wedding with a charming small shop. We chose mostly pink and white roses, white daisies (grown locally in Egypt) and lots of lush greens. Daisies have always my favourite flowers, but we wanted to add more texture and color, so opted for roses that were in season in July.
We chose Glitter & Twigs by Ingeborg as our wedding photographer, and we could not have been more pleased! We found her work as we were browsing through vendors and fell in love right away.
If we could offer any advice to other couples planning their wedding day, we would say…
Delegate! And there is absolutely no point in stressing on the wedding day itself. You have done everything possible in the planning phase of it all. Now is the time to take it all in and dance the night away with your close ones.
