Jen & Matt were inspired to host their intimate, restaurant wedding in Mallorca after their original wedding venue fell through. Guided by the outdoor setting of Bellaverde in Mallorca and its beautiful 100-year-old fig trees and greenery, they planned a natural, vegan inspired big day.
Having tried the food there the previous year and knowing how amazing it was, that helped them decided to ask if they could host their wedding there too.

My dress was from the Virgos Lounge bridal collection, I fell in love with the shape of this dress and the beadwork is beautiful.
I wore my grandmother’s pendant necklace which was given to me after she passed away.
My love heart bridal shoes were a pair of ‘Melissa’ Vivienne Westwoods.
My older brother Ally walked me down the aisle to ‘Landslide, by The Smashing Pumpkins.
Matt and I met through a close friend of ours 4 years ago, and he proposed to me whilst we were over on holiday in Mallorca the summer of 2016 – which just so happened to be in Pension Bellavista next door to Bellaverde.
Rachel and Tonie our wedding photographers travelled to Mallorca with us and we immediately hit it off with one and other. They went above and beyond to capture our day so perfectly.
For decor, we added fairy lights to the fig trees and kept the focus on the setting itself. A variety of flowers were bought on the morning by ourselves and Svenja for the tables and chairs.
For wedding favours, I hand picked roses and made rose syrup infused with lustre powder which were put into tiny bottles that guests could add to their prosecco for a little extra shimmer. We also added bubbles shaped like ice creams to our tables.
Looking around and just watching everyone laughing and smiling was the best feeling in the world and one of my most memorable moments!
If we could advise other couples planning their wedding day we would say…
Do what feels right for you both and just go with it. When we first started planning, we got caught up in going with a big wedding and when it fell through we then realised that we really wanted an intimate wedding.
I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason and wouldn’t change a thing about our day. Also, enjoy every moment, even the planning because it passes by so quickly.
