Vancouver’s conscious bridal label LAUDAE is excited to announce the release of its third bridal collection: Quaintrelle. This eight-piece collection was named after and designed to represent a woman who lives a passionate, curated, and conscious life. In other words, Quaintrelle is the modern + inspired bride.
This season, the design team took to the streets for their creative process, drawing inspiration from trending ready-to-wear styles like off-the-shoulder blouses and everything ruffles. These soft and feminine elements were combined with structured details like belts and buttons for a collection that is both sophisticated and dreamy.
While Quaintrelle maintains the brand’s signature sleek silhouette, it simultaneously introduces fresh and sought after details (hello new necklines!). Fit and function are behind each of the designs too, with secret supportive mesh throughout, thoughtfully-placed seams, flexible fabrics are chosen for ultimate comfort and fit-tested patterns that hug in all the right places.
This collection is made for the woman who wants to feel invincible on her wedding day. While dresses like the Bloem are the brand’s response to brides wanting a combination of past favourites, other gowns feature a new (and much anticipated) fabric: the ribbed crêpe.
As seen on the Bryant, Adderley, and Kloof gowns, this forgiving fabric provides a smooth shape and subtle flare to an otherwise easy knockout. Romantic elements are infused throughout the collection with the addition of new delicate laces and intimate touches like hand-cut trims. Quaintrelle is LAUDAE’s most innovative and dynamic collection to date.
The team recently ran away with their new designs to a city that embodies the emphasized and passionate lifestyle Quaintrelle stands for. Cape Town, South Africa, was a home away from home for the indie Vancouver label.
With breathtaking, natural landscapes surrounding a diverse and creative city centre, they found the similarities between the two coastal cities to be unparalleled. To honour this connection, the new designs are named after the streets wandered by the team while shooting the collection’s editorial images.
In keeping with the brand’s forward-thinking mentality, the entire collection was shot on an iPhone as an ode to LAUDAE’s efforts toward total brand transparency.
The goal was to capture both candid moments along with an honest depiction of what the dresses look like in real life, so it seemed only fitting to use a widely understood and accessible device to offer this fresh and relatable approach. LAUDAE is not your typical bridal brand.
With every season, the team continues to push boundaries and set new standards within the industry. What has been is definitely not what will always be for this conscious + curious bridal label.
Quaintrelle will be available to shop online August 22, 2018, and slowly released to the brand’s worldwide retailers thereafter. Check availability in the store nearest you!
Beautiful! Love all those dramatic cuts!
