LSO St Luke’s: A Summer Garden Party + Unique Wedding Venue

Earlier this summer, the Want That Wedding team was kindly invited to attend a Summer Garden Party at the LSO St Luke’s, a derelict-church-turned-Music-Education-Centre – now a fantastically unique venue available to hire for weddings, events, and musical concerts of all shapes and sizes.

Some of the highlights of the party were the fantastical drink experiences by Smith and Sinclair (hello edible cocktails!), the feast of mouth-watering BBQ bites by Party Ingredients, the interactive activities by Chillisauce , the delicacies by the Chocolate Cocktail Club, and the wonderful live music and ice cream – perfect for a lazy, warm summer evening in the city.

We absolutely loved the versatility of both the indoor and outdoor spaces, so rare in a location like this: the venue sits in the heart of central London, just yards from the bustling Old Street roundabout and within walking distance from the Barbican and Moorgate. With its blend of 18th-century architecture and contemporary features, this Grade I-listed church is highly versatile and a truly breathtaking heritage space. The Jerwood Hall, flooded with natural light, can accommodate up to 220 guests for seated dinners or 425 for standing receptions – do check out their website for more information about the venue’s wedding offering!

In the meantime, here are some snaps from the garden party – enjoy!
