Wedding Colours For 2022
Every year sees new wedding trends come and go, from the types of venues chosen for the special day to the theming of it. The colours used at weddings are no exception, with specific colours forecasted to be particularly popular every year.
Today, wedding planner Laura Hillman has shared the colours she thinks will be popular in 2022:

The Pantone colour of the year, ‘Very Peri’ is a gorgeous shade of purple that would work wonderfully at a wedding.
Expect a combination of lilacs and purples, as well as hues of blue and other similar shades.
‘Soft Baby Blue’
With several clients including a touch of soft baby blue shades in their designs for 2022, Laura expects it to be a popular choice for weddings this year.
Think of adding soft baby blue to table decorations and team it with other pastels for a lovely look.

A timeless classic that never goes out of fashion. There’s so much you can do with it, with it lending itself well to an organic look that has become increasingly popular.
Of course, white has been popular in weddings for years and years, but combining the gorgeous shade of sage creates an elegant theme that oozes levels of calm and relaxation.
Sage bridesmaid dresses have been popular over the last few years, as well as the use of softer greenery. Combining this with wedding flowers in white and light blue would look absolutely amazing.

A very popular look for 2021, the use of muted shades is set to continue into 2022 as couples explore different combinations and textures for their wedding.
Laura predicts that pops of soft pastels will be added to colour palettes, as couples inject their personality into a muted design.
These colour combinations also work well as the paler shades are lovely as table decorations and bridesmaids dresses.

‘Dusty Pink’
A classic, romantic and very popular colour whatever the season may be. Dusty pink can be combined with many colours, including other pastel shades as well as darker shades, and instantly adds a touch of elegance to a theme.
It also looks particularly good when paired with navy blue and is a wonderful choice for bouquets of flowers and little finishing touches.
How do you choose the colours of your wedding?

One of the first points of planning a wedding is choosing your colour scheme. Then, everything else tends to work alongside that to create your perfect day.
To choose the colours used at your wedding, it’s a good idea to consider the time of year and the location of your wedding. For example, if it’s a winter wedding in a snow-filled setting, you may want to stick with cool colours such as blue and white.
The season can also be something to consider when choosing your colour scheme. If you’re looking at spring or summer, such as a casual garden wedding, consider using pastels and brighter shades.
If you’re looking at autumn or winter weddings, darker colours such as reds and blacks may be more suitable.
Once you’ve chosen your colour scheme, look into ways in which to incorporate this throughout the day. For example:
– Table decorations and flower arrangements
– Bridesmaids dresses and the style of suits chosen for your groom and groomsmen
– Paper decorations such as table confetti, menus and even invites
Of course, the possibilities are endless and really, it’s all down to personal taste! Need even more wedding colour ideas? Follow the link.
