Wedding Photography
WTW readers would love to know about you and your photographic journey…
Liam & Stam have been shooting weddings together across the world for the best part of a decade. Their work has been awarded consistently by their industry peers and their distinctive style, rooted in the compelling real moments that happen at every wedding, defines their edgy, creative and vibrant imagery. They attract couples from across the globe that are looking for special memories of their wedding day, to make them and their family proud and their friends desperate to see more.
Who or what inspired you to become a wedding photographer?
We both had a desire to do something meaningful, away from the corporate world that we left behind. Having loved photography for a long time and seeing so many friends disappointed by their own wedding photos, we felt a calling to create a photography studio that pushed the boundaries of what’s possible and delivered genuinely inspiring memories to our couples.
How would you describe your particular style of photography?
Creative documentary photography. We love finding dramatic and atmospheric light to play with and capture the emotion of the day in an interesting and compelling way
If you could go anywhere in the world and photograph any couple who would that be, why and where would you go?
We honestly love all the couples we work with. Our style seems to attract the type of couples that love having fun and are a pleasure to work with. We don’t have a specific couple we would like to work with, but would love to work at a wedding in South Africa, it is one place we haven’t visited yet with a wedding couple.
We had a wedding booked there but sadly it was cancelled due to the pandemic. Hopefully, they manage to rebook it again soon and we can make it over there to capture their day.
What’s your most memorable wedding moment so far?
The elephant grabbing the groom around the lips with his trunk was very funny and is still our most well-known photograph. We also love the image of the wedding guests dining underneath umbrellas in Thailand as it started to rain just as they brought out the main course. It was amazingly atmospheric.
Give us 5 facts about you…
Bulldog Lovers (we have one English and on Frenchie)
We can’t start the day without good espresso
We lived in Thailand for 8 years before coming back to Europe
Got engaged in Santorini in 2019 (but still no wedding)
When it comes to selecting a wedding photographer, what advice would you give to brides and grooms?
Ask to see their after-dark photos. A lot of a wedding reception happens at night so having a photographer that has the ability to use creative lighting to make that look incredible is very important.
