By the Lake Wedding
This inspirational elopement shoot co-organized by Charlène from Pur Bonheur Wedding Planner and Maryem and Thomas, photographers and videographers from Instant Shooting, started from a very simple idea: to have a wedding in a small committee, in a somewhat atypical and natural place. After trying to have a wedding in the ruins of an old castle and then abandoning this idea, we thought about a wedding by the water, with a secular ceremony on a pontoon, at the edge of a very green lake, in order to give this moment the impression of floating. We wanted a soft and joyful atmosphere, so we immediately developed a fairly uniform colour code of sand and pink tones, in order to recall the colours of certain paints.
We imagined a couple who would decide to get married in their favourite place with their favourite people. A kind of nature elopement to celebrate the union of two beings facing the forces of the universe, an intimate and timeless wedding! Soft colours, and decoration with a comfortable and chic look for a rejuvenating and calm atmosphere. Light and unstructured floral compositions accentuate the impression of simplicity and lightness. We imagined this wedding as a moment of sweetness, filled with emotions and joy.
We wanted the entire shoot to recall the texture and colour of the chosen beach. We, therefore, chose to have stationery made partly out of seeded paper to recall the texture of the sand, and a linen suit to recall its colour of it. We chose a cake in pink tones, custom-made to fit into the shoot. We chose yellow gold for the bride’s engagement ring and wedding band, again to echo the warm summer sand tones. The dress designer custom-made the bridesmaids’ outfits in the tones of the shoot.
My favourite memory of the day is the meal shoot. The guests had never met before, but one of them, Lana, a very lively and funny girl, put everyone at ease so easily that in the first seconds of the photo shoot, we took some great photos of them all laughing and chatting together like they’ve known each other for ten years! We couldn’t stop them from talking!
My second favourite moment is when I photographed the girls walking towards me. We were barefoot in the lake with the videographer and the day was really hot, the cool water was really refreshing! A shoot with your feet in the water!
