How to Incorporate Pantone’s Colour of the Year into Your Spring Wedding
The best time to start planning for your spring wedding is as soon as the new year begins – not only does this give you adequate time to plan, but you also get a chance to make the most of all the latest trends that are in for the season.
For instance, you can plan your wedding colors based on Pantone’s color of the year, Viva Magenta, or decide on whether you want to have a destination wedding based on 2023’s best places to get married in – the perks are endless and all you need to do is keep track of everything that catches your eye!
In this blog, we’re going to make your job a little easier by talking about different ways in which you can incorporate Pantone’s color of the year into your spring wedding – since your wedding color is going to set the mood for all your other plans. Let’s get started.
1. Start with the wedding invitations
The first thing that needs to be ready are the wedding invitations, since most of your other plans will revolve around the number of guests who RSVP to the invite. Additionally, this is the first glimpse that all your guests are going to get into your wedding, so you want to make it look as elegant, cute, or fun (depending on the style you’re going for) as possible.
The beauty of spring weddings is that you can pick among numerous different styles, since spring generally gives off happy, summery vibes that can go with any theme.
Since Viva Magenta is the wedding color, you’d want it to stand out in all the small details. This doesn’t mean that your wedding invite needs to be a splash of nothing but the same color – simply adding subtle details in the border, lettering, embossed initials, or wax seal will go a long way in highlighting your wedding color, without making the color dominate everything.
All you need to do is make sure you have well-designed wedding invitations that capture the main color while also adding in the complementary secondary colors of your wedding.
2. Add details to the outfits
Viva Magenta is a strong, bold color. But this doesn’t mean that it needs to overpower all the other colors at your wedding. Usually, the bridesmaids and flower girls usually wear attire in the wedding colors – this works wonderfully well if the colors are muted.
However, if you don’t want the wedding to look predominantly pink, you can always find subtle and elegant ways to incorporate the wedding color into the outfits of the bridal party.
For instance, instead of the gowns being Viva Magenta from top to bottom, you could go with a secondary color such as off-white and add the wedding color in the borders, as a sash, or with some lace. This way, the colors will also be easy on the eyes, while also giving your wedding a pop of color instead of looking pale and dull.
3. Food, decor, souvenirs, and lights
Apart from the invites and outfits, there are numerous other ways in which you can incorporate Viva Magenta in your wedding. Right from the plates and cutlery used for the food, to your wedding cake, Viva Magenta is a vibrant color that will make everything look alive if used against the right colors.
You can also add subtle details in the decor and souvenirs, such as having Viva Magenta candles and using similar ribbons and net when packing your souvenirs.
If you’re having your wedding in the evening, you can even consider having a soft pink light around the wedding and reception venue to add a soft, pink hue to the atmosphere.
