Bridal dresses are often associated with a very significant, monumental moment in a human’s life. The moment and the dress are a vessel for whatever that human wants to fill it with. Does the wearer want their moment to feel empowered, soft, delicate, ethereal, elaborate, over the top — and why? Do they want to feel like they’ve finally become their own person, like they’ve grown, or stepped into a whole new chapter?
The dress is a moment for them to finally see themselves in their highest light and empowered state, to take centre stage in the dream for themselves, in the unique way which they individually choose. At OUMA we believe in creating a moment, not a dress.

“During the inception of this collection, I was going through a time in my life where I found myself looking back at what first beckoned me to create. A period of reminiscing about the sleekness I’d seen on the runways growing up in the 90s, married with the textures and silhouettes that brought the softness I was always drawn to from old Hollywood. Pursuing my desire for self-discovery and answering to the déjà vu I was experiencing, I started to design pieces that created a juxtaposition between past and present. A collection that instilled a new sense of creative prioritization, and redefined for me what actualizing my lifetime of personal inspiration should feel like. ” – Ou Ma, Design Director & Founder
