We chose the venue because we loved the combination of a country house with a permanent marquee to allow us flexibility with our planning and celebrations.
The house and gardens are amazing and we took advantage of all the bedrooms in the house. The team at Pylewell are really friendly and the local area is very unique with the forest so close to the coast and wild horses.

My Dad Igor walked me down the aisle to an acoustic version of Coldpay’s Viva La Vida, my favourite song, which was performed by a live musician.
I was looking for a classic princess wedding dress with a big tulle skirt which felt like a cloud and a sweetheart neckline corset. Most dresses I came across however had a lot of florals or other decor on the skirt and I really wanted just a plain white soft tulle skirt.
I visited many shops in London and was starting to give up that I would find the one, then I visited Sassi Holford Boutique where Sanda (a super helpful store manager) told me that they could make a bespoke wedding dress.
I was a bit nervous seeing my dress for the first time, however, it was just perfect!
Mia put together an amazing draping installation complemented by Lamps and Amps’ lighting within the pavilion and used uplights for the surrounding trees. James’ step-brother built a DJ booth surround and installed an LED sign.
The tables were decorated with linen, flowers and candles, we had pick n mix, a Polaroid camera, all within the colour theme.
For wedding favours, we had homemade bottles of toffee vodka, a throwback to James’ time working in the French Alps.
We have a tradition of saying toasts in Russia, which is a big part of our culture. We were slightly nervous about how 18 speeches would go down in a Russian / English wedding, however, it was definitely the most memorable part and even the British guests are still remembering this and mentioning how much they enjoyed hearing from various people.
