Unique Wedding Rings: Introducing Thorum

You’ve spent hours planning the perfect wedding and creating all those memorable details that make you and your wedding completely unique and now thanks to Thorum you can also purchase a unique wedding band made from incredibly diverse materials such as dinosaur bone or meteorite! Whisky barrels, titanium, Damascus steel or desert ironwood are among the array of interesting (and beautiful) materials sourced to create these one-of-a-kind wedding rings.

Thorum was founded in 2012 by husband and wife team, Caleb and Steph Martin. Starting in their garage Caleb created a custom engagement ring for Steph and then branched out into making unique wedding bands using extraordinary materials sourced locally and from around the world. The couple are now based in Tampa Florida, and whilst they no longer create custom designs, they have over 200 hand-crafted designs for men and women and work with a small dedicated team.

Thorum design, assemble and polish each ring in shop and provides a lifetime warranty and legendary customer service. Can you just imagine a wedding band made from ancient dinosaur bone or beautiful meteorite?

This unique wedding band below is called The Aloha. Made from Hawaiian Koa which is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful timbers in the world. Its grain runs from dark coffee heartwood, through bright golden tones. This design is paired with a brushed plumb black, bevelled Tungsten carbide band.

Another interesting and unique design is the WW2 ring. Inlaid with timber from an M1 Garand rifle stock. The M1 Garand replaced the M1903 Springfield as the standard service rifle in the Mid-1930s. This design was used as the standard service rifle both in WW2 and the US Korean War.

This stock has seen active duty, but has been broken beyond repair. Thorum stabilize the timber in a vacuum and pair it with sandblasted Tungsten Carbide for this unique and stylish design.
