Comfy Wedding Shoes: 5 Reasons You Should Wear Them on your Big Day

Comfy Wedding Shoes

Lots of women are obsessed with beautiful sky-scraping high heels. And why not? They are absolutely beautiful and add inches to our frame, elongating our figures by creating a streamlined, slimmer look. They also add oodles of style to your wedding outfit.

But what if I could give you 5 reasons to NOT wear a high heel and to actually choose a comfy wedding shoe on your wedding day? Here goes.

No. 1. They’re comfy. Yes, captain obvious here… but is there a more compelling reason to wear a beautifully made flat-soled shoe, than not being in any discomfort on your wedding day? I think not.

No. 2. You don’t have to wear high heels. Yes, that’s right. There is no law stating you must wear heels on your wedding day. So feel free to rock a cool pair of wedding trainers with invisible socks, if that’s your thing. These star trainers by Cocorose London are wedding perfect.

No.3. Comfy can be cool. And stylish. There are so many choices out there nowadays. Your feet can be encompassed in comfort and still look cool AF.

No. 4. It is practical. Opting for a wedding wellie or cowboy boot is a sensible choice. Especially if your wedding is slightly alternative. Outdoor weddings and the British weather call for realistic footwear!

No. 5. It’s your wedding. Don’t let ‘traditions’ dictate how you dress. It’s cool and hip to not give a… so please, just do exactly as you damn well please.

I honestly wish someone had given me this no-nonsense advice for my wedding day 11 years ago. I wore a beautiful pair of heels but had pre-wedding anxiety, mainly about tripping up and falling down the stairs at my venue. My shoes were discarded halfway through the evening and I pranced around drunkenly barefoot.

So even if you do choose the high heels. Remember it’s ok to ditch them but please make sure you have a pair of flip-flops to hand… as no bride wants to be in pain or uncomfortable on their big day.
