Modern Tropical Wedding Inspiration

Modern Tropical Wedding Inspiration

When Enrique from Have Some Cake approached us with an idea he had for a new cake design, we were instantly sparking with ideas. The bright pink three-tier avant-garde design gave us instant tropical vibes and that, along with the yearning so many of us had at that point to be able to jump on a plane to somewhere hot, gave us the concept for our modern tropical wedding inspiration and photoshoot.

The Venue

Being fortunate enough to live in Birmingham UK we knew just the venue – Birmingham Botanical Gardens. We were spoilt for choice with the number of stunning spaces we had to choose from, but in the end, we decided on the iconic white aviary, newly refurbished bandstand and the Mediterranean and cactus houses.

Real Life Couple

We were overjoyed to have the most amazing real-life couple for this shoot – Heidi looked absolutely stunning in the Savin London gown from Wedding Belles of Four Oaks finished beautifully with accessories from Sarah Patel. Jordan’s bespoke tailored slim fit suit and black tie was courtesy of Clements and Church.

Tropical Flowers

The whole team fed off their positive energy throughout the shoot.
Knowing Nicky from Paradise Blooms, we were confident she was the perfect florist to create the tropical vibe we were after using banana and monstera leaves, protea, anthurium and cockscomb to name a few.

Tropical Wedding Vibes

Together with the amazing Junie Poonie – stationer and stylist for the shoot – they brought to life the vision we had worked so hard to design and curate… perfect for the couple wanting a tropical wedding in the heart of England!

Fine Art Photography

The final images from Veronika J Fine Art Photography worked so well, not only because of Heidi and Jordan’s genuine love for each other, but also the fact that for them this shoot was a joy to be a part of, after the year they’d both had.

The Front Line

Heidi and Jordan are paramedics and had been on the front line during the entire pandemic. So after 12 months of being physically and mentally drained, they were so excited to be able to step out of their uniforms and be pampered and feel special for the day.

I don’t know about you, but I am LOVING these bright and tropical wedding colours!
