We chose our wedding venue for its beautiful location, a large and very well organised resort with beach access and beautiful views. When it came to the wedding style we wanted something reminiscent of traditional Greece but not just the classic blue/white decor. The bouquet and the rest of the decorations were intended to remind of a celebration in a Greek village courtyard like in the old times.

My wedding dress was designed and handmade by my aunt – the owner of Kinu Handmade Creations. I loved that it was designed especially for me and my day and that it was made by my beloved aunt. I live in the US so I sent her my measurements and she managed to make this dress that fit me perfectly with only one rehearsal 2 days before the wedding!
The bouquet and the rest of the wedding decorations were intended to remind us of a celebration in a Greek village courtyard. We had flowers like carnations that growing up my grandmother always had around the house. It also had chamomile which Evan and I really like, roses, alstroemeria and of course the stunning peony which was suggested by Eleni from The Flower Puzzle and was beautiful.
We walked down the aisle together. We did a first look photography session right before the ceremony and it did not make sense to separate again after that to go to the church. We were driven to the church from the first look location on a golf cart and then walked down the aisle together and it was perfect!
Our wedding photographer was amazing! He truly made our day better with his positivity, empathy and kind-heartedness, making us feel at ease, and every single picture he took is amazing! He captured exactly the moments and the emotions we experienced.
We used flowers to decorate everything. We also had strings with flags in pink and green tones both in the church and at the reception. We had a beautiful table of wishes decorated with all these beautiful flowers and flags and delicious traditional sweets such as loukoumia, toulombes etc. but also the traditional macaroons from Skopelos island (where my family is from) that my grandmother made for our guests. The decoration of the tables was simple but really beautiful. Colourful bouquets in glass jars, beige linen runner and small white hearts on top. Our chairs were wooden white with blue cushions to match the style.
