Bili Loves Charlie: A Romantic Elopement (and alternative bridal statement dresses)

Afternoon lovelies! I have a stunning styled shoot to share with you all this afternoon featuring a real life bride and groom.  The shoot split’s into 3 parts. The ceremony, the reception and the first dance… and they all feature an alternative bridal statement dress. If you’re tying the knot there is a chance that you might not want to (shock horror) wear a white wedding dress and this styled shoot showcases and celebrates how you could rock the non-white bridal dress look.

As always, I’m totally supportive of whatever feels right for YOU. If you want to wear a bright orange wedding dress. DO IT! If you want to change your attire for the wedding reception. DO IT. If you want to change again for your first dance. Again? Yeah, you heard me. DO IT!

I had grand visions of changing my look for our reception, but at the time, I just felt it wasn’t the done thing. Sad face that I never did. What would I have done? I had fallen in love with an amazing  ostrich feather cape with the most beautiful bejeweled clasp. It would have looked amazing with a slick of red lipstick…

There is something so idyllic and romantic about elopements and the thought of exchanging vows in a very intimate and private setting, exactly how you want it, with no financial stress and worry is to some people absolute bliss.

You can think of it as the best date that you will ever have as a couple – completely and utterly romantic and personal and something very special shared and cherished forever.

Beautiful Bilijana wears and amazing Billion Dollar Babes green sequin gown with hints of jade. For a bit of elegant fun, its worn with crystal and pearl Chantilly lace kitty cat ears from Teeki.

Charlie a bit more relaxed after the ceremony is jacket-less in his outfit by Politix and topped off with a more casual coloured bow tie from Two Guy’s Bow Ties’s.

Enjoy this colourful and elegant feast and feel inspired to think outside the traditions that are typically followed for your wedding day.

A very special and intimate moment between newlyweds that will be remembered forever, is the first dance. So why not do it in an amazing statement gown

This gorgeous and elegant red sequin party frock is amaze! To continue with the theme of difference, it’s teamed with a black based crystal headpiece. A little Hollywood glamour we think! Red Carpet eat your heart out!

One amazing idea we love is to have your first dance outside in the beautiful sunlight (for a lunch time wedding) or under the stars for a night time affair. Makes for some stunning photos with a gorgeous backdrop!
