Here in the UK we are enjoying an extended summer. Even though we are well and truly into Autumn, the British weather is holding out and giving us back a little bit of the summer that we failed to have in July & August.
With Autumn fully in our sights I decided to create an autumnal wedding mood-board with a wonderful colour palette consisting of colours you’d traditionally expect for an autumn inspired wedding… earthy orange, brown, green and russet red.
The result? It really is gorgeous! In my opinion, traditional Autumn weddings definitely suit a rustic style theme.
Autumn Wedding Ideas & Wedding Inspiration
Autumn weddings can be just as beautiful as summer or winter weddings, just take your colour cue from nature!
If you’re an autumn bride you can still wear flowers in your hair – I love this rustic style floral crown. The colours are definitely autumn inspired.
For a more boho inspired autumunal look, add natural leaves and rustic feathers to your floral crown.
I absolutely adore the rustic colours of this wedding cake. Nice use of the acorns and berries too!
To create the perfect autumn wedding, take your inspiration from nature by using natural elements in your decor and styling. Think natural materials of wood, feathers, leaves, berries, fruit and pumpkins. Burlap, hessian and lace can add to the rustic look.
