Happy Saturday everyone!! Well, what an eventful couple of days I’ve had. Firstly one of my cats disappeared and then my husband!!!!

Turns out the cat had been on one big little kitty adventure and the husband, well… he sunk one jar too many and ended up stranded in Gillingham without his keys, mobile, wallet or jacket…

Naughty little kitty {Rum} rocked back up at 1am in the morning… after nearly smothering the little blighter to death with hugs and kisses my other cat {Coconut} absolutely freaked out on him. Hissing, yowling and generally trying to claw his eyes out. It was really horrible.

Eventually {at stupid o’clock} I received a phone call from the hubs who’d managed to borrow some lovely chaps phone after begging him to ‘let me call my wife’. So, after paying a £70 cab fair I was finally reunited with the last of my boys. Happily the cats seem to have calmed down and the hubby just has a bit of a sore head…

Anyways, enough about me and the bonkersness of the last 48. Today I’m ecstatically excited to welcome awesomely sweet lady Lau who is the baker extraordinaire behind French Made.

You may have seen Lau’s work in previous posts? For instance in my neon love shoot she made the pretty little neon speckled cupcakes and recently I shared her gorgeous edible shoot, sweet n’ petite!

I started baking as a teenager and haven’t stopped since. I always helped out with my friends’ weddings, decorating and making favours for them. Celebrating in style with good food has been paramount for members of my French family. So for me it’s almost innate.

As well as being quite creative, I’ve always been attracted to what’s fashionable in a quirky way. I spent most of my younger years as a cross between a Goth (yes) and an indie girl.

For me, French Made has allowed me to combine it all tradition, creativity and quirkiness as well as my love for the shabby chic/ modern vintage style. My cakes and bakes are French inspired but I have been living in the UK for 15 years, so I learnt to adapt them to the British public too.

French Made is a London/ Essex based dessert table company. Our buffets include Anglo-French custom cakes, sweets, favours and styling.

We specialise in alternative/rustic/ shabby chic/ vintage inspired design and we can work with you to make your special occasion a personalised and a truly memorable one.
