Whoaa! Today’s real wedding is an absolute stunner!! Gorgeous bursts of pastel prettiness with an undertone of elegant champagne.
Our gorgeous bride Emily wore a beautiful bespoke champagne wedding gown created by Joanne Fleming and her dashing groom wore a dapper suit from Saville Row tailor, Chester Barrie.
I’m particularly in love with the gorgeous garden-esq floral detailing which shows through in the beautiful blooms and exquisite cake design. Yes. This is one gorgeous wedding I know you’re gonna love.

Our wedding venue was ’Bron Eifion Country House Hotel’ in Criccieth. My family moved to Criccieth from Manchester years ago, and Mike is from North Wales. Bron Eifion is a regular haunt of ours for birthday dinners.
I was originally looking for a 50s style wedding dress, and stumbled upon Joanne Fleming’s Designs on a wedding blog. Her designs are captivating and I couldn’t wait to visit her showroom in Brighton.
Joanne’s exquisite taste and luxurious fabrics made me fall in love immediately and my wedding dress is a custom, one off gown, created from the best bits of my two favourite designs.
My veil was also a bespoke design, using fabric from the dress.
My bridesmaid wore a vintage green, 50s style dupion dress with swishy pink petticoat from Dig For Victory. She accessorised with a pair of floral shoes that matched the pastel colours of the wedding.
Mike’s suit was a Gold Label made to measure suit of his own design by Chester Barrie. He also wore a handmade tie, pearl tie pin, silk handkerchief and shirt – all from Chester Barrie
We opted for floral arrangements bursting with pastel colours, sprawling and garden-like. We entrusted our arrangements to Eleri’s impeccable experience and taste.
The church flowers were provided by Eleri and arranged by ourselves the afternoon before, including a wonderful pedestal arrangement by my Grandmother, Delia.
My Dad Nigel walked me down the aisle to the traditional wedding march.
Having been on an engagement shoot with our wedding photographer San, we knew the photographs of our wedding day would be amazing but she surpassed all our expectations completely.
San and her husband Michael put us at ease with their natural style of photography. They captured some beautiful memories of our day, whilst allowing us and our guests to soak up the atmosphere of the day and never missed a moment.
Vintage teacups and plates were used for the cake and tea following the wedding breakfast, we also gave handmade miniature Welsh love spoons for wedding favours.
When it came to the decor we chose things based on our taste and enjoyment without worrying too much about a theme, and it all came together perfectly. If you both like each thing you choose, its inevitable you’ll like the overall look when it’s put together.
Our cake was a bespoke design of 4 tiers with handmade icing flowers that reflected our floral arrangements. We had the traditional fruit cake but also lemon sponge and our favourite spiced carrot cake top tier.
Jane is as much an artist as she is a baker – the flowers were photo realistic!
What was your most memorable moment of the day?
The entire day was perfect. One of the most special memories started before I even arrived at Church. I stepped out of my parents cottage to find their street full of neighbours and their friends waiting to wish me well and wave me off to Church.
The entrance to Church was lined with locals waiting to catch a glimpse of Dad and I going in, the street was full of people out of the shops waving at the car as we drove past.
Despite the amazing feeling of walking down the aisle and seeing Mike at the top, the incredible community spirit of Criccieth really set the tone of the day.
If you could impart any words of wisdom to a future brides planning their wedding day, what would they be?
Plan it together – as disinterested as he may appear, you might be surprised at the amounts of things he’ll have an opinion on.
Our first dance was ‘Just One Kiss’, by Raphael Saadiq and Joss Stone.
So beautiful! I adore this wedding with all its pastel pretty bursts. Please leave some love for our gorgeous couple and that dress…
