I have the most gorgeous little love shoot to share with you all today and this e-shoot pretty was captured by talented wedding photographer Fiona Kelly. The shoot took place in the largest beauty spot in London {and one of my favourite places in the whole wide world} Hampstead Heath is a beautiful haven of open grassland, woods, trails and ponds set within London’s huge urban sprawl. Lin & Marius are due to tie the knot next month and I think they make the most adorable couple!! Over to super cute Lin who shares how they met and fell in love as well as a few words about their big day!
We met in 2005 when I came to the UK on a one year exchange student program, in Brunel university, both of us studied economics and finance. We fell in love but then I had to go back to china to finish my final year, so we had a one year long distance relationship, during which I came back to visit him twice and decided being apart is too painful. So I came back to UK to do a postgraduate (in the name of love) and we’ve been living together since then.
I knew it was love when I couldn’t stop crying at heathrow departure, hoping the security people could throw me out of the queue and tell me I’m not allowed to board the plane back to china.
After being in that place three times, I told Marius, you know what, the next time, I don’t want to go into the gate by myself. So the forth time I took him to china with me :D
I’d quite like an intimate vintage wedding but since we’re on tight budget, I have been collecting DIY stuff, hoping to imitate some beautiful settings I’ve seen on wedding and photography blogs. It will be a local church wedding followed by a backyard marquee reception.
We’re getting married on 07/07/12, a very odd day since its the London tragedy day…but my mom insists according to the Chinese calendar, it’s good for getting married.
The thing I’m most looking forward to about our big day has to be the huge reunion of my family from china and his family from lithuania. My parents are flying in next week, I’m really happy that they’ve got the visas. As long as the family and friends are around, I don’t mind things going wrong or crazy on the day at all!!
Thank you so much for sharing :) I hope you have a truly incredible wedding day and a very happy life together. Lovely ladies, feel free to leave your love and luck on the blog for Lin & Marius. Oh! I almost forget to mention their little dog… TOO CUTE!
Great photos. They look so in love. Fab
