I wanted to come up with something fresh and pretty for chic brides who want a taste of the botanical look but want it clean, pared back and high end.
Whether it’s in make up which is more catwalk than traditional bridal, or a unique hair accessory or a dress that is covered in applique flowers, I’m always looking for little details that will help a bride make her wedding that little bit different.
When it came to the table decor, we wanted to incorporate the modern, wild floral look, opting for a garden inspired centrepiece with a large vase covered in moss.
However rather than going for other obvious rustic details, we decided to juxtapose it with elegant gold cutlery, really beautiful gilded plates and antique glasses to keep it looking very clean and still high end.
And it all worked really well in our chosen venue. 10-11 Carlton House Terrace is a stunning mansion in the heart of London overlooking Pall Mall. It’s an historic building which has housed royalty and prime ministers, so it was a joy to bring in some fresh, modern table settings to breathe some life into the bright, traditional space.
We hope we’ve come up with something really fresh and pretty that will inspire brides who are wondering how they can incorporate some of the modern elements they’ve seen on blogs into their own weddings while keeping it simple, pared back and chic!
