Hello my lovelies, I hope you’ve had the best weekend?! I shared a post on Friday that answered some of your seating plan dilemmas and also offered some outside the box advice too and that got me thinking… I haven’t even shared any seating plan inspiration with you… and I’ve been blogging about weddings for a year and a half!! Designing your seating plan can be one of the more creative aspects of your wedding, you have the freedom to express yourself, your tastes and if you have a wedding theme you can incorporate that into your seating plan design too.
One of the most common seating plan designs is some type of board or mirror on an easel with lists of your guests names. Whilst this is OK, it’s not the most creative, pretty or fun thing you can do. So here are some lovely ideas that I really hope inspire you…
Rustic ladders… such a cute way to display your guests names. What I particularly love; you can display little frames, ornamental bottles and decorate the frame with flowers etc. Imagine fairy lights wrapped around these too. Ooo pretty pretty.

Window panes… ok you might have to search through a skip or something but how sweet is this seating plan? I particularly love the bright turquoise pen used to write the guests names.

Another ‘search through a skip idea’ but this is absolutely bloomin’ gorgeous.

String lines can be a more affordable and convenient seating plan idea. + you can make this as fun as you want; I love the coloured ribbons in the one below.

Are you looking for vintage seating plan ideas? I love these airmail postcards and these pretty rustic keys. Super easy to add a bit of ribbon and a tag!

If you want something a little more glitzy, I adore this crystal chandelier seating plan and the mannequin is pretty special too.

Mismatching frames are a lovely idea or how about vintage postcards?

Sweet fabric fishes. They can double up as wedding favours too.

I heart this heart shaped fabric planner. You can purchase from amazon here but if you want to DIY, it’s basically a homemade fabric notice board. Easy peasy.

A very simple idea is to add name tags with table numbers onto long pieces of ribbon for your guestst to find. They look so pretty blowing in the breeze.

This paper flower hanging planner is really chic!

Rustic twine and real oakwood leaves with your guests names written on in gold pen. I love it!

Natural seating plan ideas? Potted plants with your guests names on sticks. Imagine using a flower, plant or herb that’s your favourite scent. I’m thinking Jasmine.

Vintage suitcases are a popular idea and I love this travel themed one.

London based couples might appreciate these seating planners. I love the tube map idea. Perfect for that couple who met and fell in love in London.

You can’t beat a bit of colourful ombré… The image on the left is a baby garland back drop, but I think it would make a fab hanging seating plan. Click the link for the tutorial.

And my last seating plan idea to share? Yummy macaron’s with cute little flags. Each colour represents a different table number. Your guests will love {and quickly scoff} this idea!
