Good morning lovelies! Today we have an extremely elegant Browns Bride on the blog wearing the most beautiful Reem Acra wedding dress. Talk about swooo-oon! Sarah and Adrian had an elegant, contemporary winter wedding with a hint of vintage.
It’s the perfect wedding to help you cool down in this mini heatwave. Ahhh, you can just feel the crisp winters air…
My dress was designed by Reem Acra and I bought it from Browns in London. I loved the overlay with all the embroidery and beading. The design was classic, but that gave it a vintage feel.
Our Florist, Yannik Pascal Gabory and I worked together. He created the amazing flower displays and Wish Tree centre piece and I provided all the props and other little extras to style the room. Yannick used lots of gorgeous flowers… a mixture of roses, some retro flowers such as carntions, lots of Gypsum and also sprayed lots of greenery silver, to give it that vintage winter wonderland twist.
My wedding shoes were classic silver, open toe, kitten heeled, slingbacks from Prada.
Marta and Adi of Contemporary Wedding Photography were our wedding photographers on the day. They were absolutely amazing!
My bridesmaids wore long strapless dresses with a sweetheart neckline in navy blue from Dessy. Via a friend, I hired four mink fur stoles for them to wear over their dresses.
I wore a diamante hair comb, made from 5 vintage broaches and a pair of beautiful rose quartz earrings my parents bought for me.
The year leading up to the wedding I spent researching and collecting lots of little extra bits….tealight holders, candleabras, vintage signs, pictures and paddle signs for fun and to make our day more personal.
And if you could impart any words of wisdom to future brides? Start planning as soon as possible, so that you can balance it out over the time you have allocated – and remember it is worth it on the day.
What a stunning wedding, so elegant and classy! Totally love the bridal parties outfits. Adrain looks dapper in his suit and bow tie and I’m loving the fur coats on the bridesmaids and of course, Sarah looks amazing in her stunning Reem Acra bridal gown. Such a beautiful bride.
