A Magical Winter Lake Como Wedding: Hugo & Fabienne

Brazilian couple Hugo & Fabienne had a small, low-key and magical winter wedding elopement on Lake Como.

On a foggy candlelit night they said their vows surrounded by the people they love and their adorable little boy. Fabienne looked stunning in her tea-length wedding gown that she only bought that morning and talented photographers Alessandro+Veronica were there to capture their special day.

Before you swoon over these beautiful images, I’m also excited to let you know that Alessandro+Veronica are on the lookout for a super in love couple who are getting married – they want to capture a beautiful English wedding, possibly in the countryside, or even in a castle.

Hugo and Fabienne are from Brazil, but wanted a small, intimate destination wedding in Italy. What about Lake Como… in winter time?

A private villa rented for a week, closest friends and family, their cute little son and that’s it.

We met this amazing couple only a couple of hours before their wedding, they just arrived from Milan where they bought in the morning the wedding gown for Fabienne!!

For their pre-weddingcouple shoot we thought why not going to the old, lovely Varenna for some photos together to capture that soft winter light at twilight?

It was a total enchanting day, they looked like they just came out from a romantic novel of the past…

The flowers were DIY and the ceremony took place on the terrace of the villa – in the darkness of a foggy evening.

There was absolutley no view, we could have been anywhere… but we knew we were surrounded by that beautiful, peaceful lake… and the candles, there were candles everywhere!

A winter Lake Como is so different and it’s always a surprising beauty.
