I knew a wanted a boho styled dress, but there are so many dresses of this style I was a bit lost amongst all the existing designers. I just tried on a lot of dresses and once I tried out this one, I did not want to take it off. I also saw in the eyes of my friends and mummy that it was made for me.
I love dresses with lace all over. I love how the light reflects on it, it has a certain lightness thanks to the dotted swiss under the lace.
The designer, Cécile, who’s full of good advice and very professional, worked with me on the length of the sleeves, the V-neck on the front and the back, so that it could fit me perfectly.
When it came to the styling of the day we were mostly inspired by the wedding venue. We really fell in love with the place and the village of Giverny. We wanted a style that looked simple and natural but at the same time a little bit sophisticated and well-made.
The most memorable moment of the day was probably the ceremony we had in the garden of La Dîme de Giverny.
Our friends and parents made speeches that really moved us, it was the highlight of the day.
Marion’s brothers played the guitar, our best friends organized all of the ceremony. It was very beautiful and memorable.
For the tables, we chose wooden tables that did not need any tablecloths and for favours, we gave seeds of wildflowers from La Fabrique à sachets, we found them on the internet.
Our wedding photography Maria of Milo Photographie was such a great person to have at our sides on our big day. She has a watchful eye, great energy and she really helped us be as relaxed as possible. She is so positive.
And her photos are perfect, she is really talented, she spots every detail that makes everything look special. All our family and friends appreciated her and we’ve heard a lot of compliments about our photos.
We loved absolutely all of our wedding flowers. Patricia and her team are lovely and very creative – their style definitely fitted in with what we wanted: boho, colourful and destructured.
They used a lot of second-hand candlesticks, vases, all mismatched and vintage… it was exactly what we were looking for.
