Austrian Wedding – An Elegant Blush & Green Colour Scheme: Jacqueline & Benjamin

Jacqueline tied the knot in her local church before celebrating with her new husband, family and friends in her parent’s back garden. The colour scheme was a very elegant, pale blush and green and she wore a gown embellished with the golden flowers from her mother wedding dress…

Austrian Wedding – An Elegant Blush & Green Colour Scheme: Jacqueline & Benjamin

The Venue

We got married in Breitenfurt close to Vienna in Austria in the church that Jacqueline was baptized in, the reception and party took place in the garden of Jacqueline parents’ house. We chose that venue because it is a very unique and personal place to get married and we wanted a wedding that was very us.

The Dress

I wore a very simple white dress with a low-cut back and without sleeves. On the dress were golden flowers that were from the same fabric my mother’s dress was made of. During the ceremony, I also wore a cape with one sleeve which was attached to the dress and also functioned as a train.

The Photographer

Our photographer Tanja was an absolutely amazing photographer! She was fun to work with and took the pressure out of the day. It felt like more working with a friend than a person you basically just met. And the pictures turned out gorgeous!

The Flowers

We had a rough idea on the colours we wanted to have, and Diana our florist made the flowers into artwork adding vases and lights. Also, it was very nice was that the flower arrangements used in the church transferred to the reception. She made the venue look like one of those Pinterest pictures where you never think they can be real.

Memorable Moments

There are so many amazing moments from our wedding day! One of them I remember very vividly was that the driver who should pick up my grandparents and bring them to the church messed up really bad and was very late, so everyone had to wait. I was still at home with my dad and my maid of honour. My dad was very nervous because of the whole situation, but in the end, we used the little extra time to take pictures with our phones and a polaroid camera.
