A Fine Art Bridal Editorial on The Mall
This fine art bridal editorial, captured by Jamie Edward, was designed around Prince Philip House, with its beautiful columns and terrace overlooking the Mall. Naomi Skull designed two bespoke gowns that reflected the grandeur of the location. The first gown featured a plunging V-neck, puddle train and Bishop-style sleeves with long buttoned cuffs for dramatic yet delicate detail. The second gown had stunning low “V” front and backs and a bias cut skirt for an elegant silhouette. The second gown was also paired with a delicate georgette overlay, featuring long bell sleeves and low tie-back detail.

The Colour Scheme
Maroon was incorporated into the floral arrangements and stationery as a nod to the iconic red tarmac of the Mall. This was complemented by the cream façade of Prince Philip House and Luna Rose Events & Weddings selected gold accents for the accessories, to acknowledge the regal location of Prince Philip House as part of the Crown Estate.
The Flowers
When guests enter Prince Philip House, they are met by the building’s original staircase, dating from the 19th century. The base of the staircase was adorned with a maroon and white floral display, which would along the ornate bannister. This immediately drew one’s eye to the beautiful staircase and the history of the building. The bouquet was a selection of dried and quality faux blooms. The blooms were a combination of maroon ranunculus and peonies, with cream, blush and apricot roses. The bouquet also incorporated red parvifolia eucalyptus, wild asparagus, pussy willow and winter pine. Blossom trees nestled amongst the towering columns on the terrace made a beautiful backdrop for bridal portraits overlooking the Mall.
The Crown Estate
In addition to its beautiful interiors, stunning columns and expansive terrace, Prince Philip House is in the perfect location from which to explore the Crown Estate. The puddle trains on both gowns allowed Julia to enjoy exploring this stunning part of London, while the delicate georgette provided a layer for the crisp spring weather. Julia was captured in front of St James’s Palace and on the Mall itself, with Buckingham Palace in the background.
