Smart Ideas for Micro Weddings

Smart Ideas for Micro Weddings

Micro weddings are becoming a popular choice for young couples tying the knot; they are less expensive, they are easier to organise and often more memorable. There are also some cool things you can do with micro-wedding that don’t always work with larger crowds, so if you decide to opt for a micro-wedding, don’t miss out on the chance to make it truly special.

Handwritten Invitations

A conventional wedding requires an extensive invitations list that can stretch to the hundreds. Unless you have a lot of time to play with, there’s no way you can write hundreds of handwritten letters to your guests even if you want to. However, a micro-wedding affords this opportunity.

Why not let your guest know exactly what you mean to them by handwriting their invitations. Not only do they feel special having been invited to this special event, but they also get the finest treatment. With under twenty people, micro-wedding allows you to amp up the luxury value.

Private Venues

Speaking of luxury value, why don’t you hire a private venue for your micro-weddings. Again, a micro-wedding is defined as one with fewer than twenty guests meaning that you can spend more on the venue and provide added value to your guest, such as a free or discount bar.

A private venue might be a hotel, a restaurant, a distillery, a church, a glamping site, or anywhere else that offers wedding services. If you intend on a micro-wedding, it opens up many opportunities because small spaces in venues can be hired without booking the entire hire.

Outfit Options

Of course, every wedding needs a theme or a style, even if you’re going for a conventional wedding, but a micro-wedding allows you to include our guests a little more. Since you only have twenty people at your wedding party, you can talk to them and make decisions about attire.

Often, it comes down to the time of year, the wedding venue, and the style preferences. Low-key weddings might prefer a more relaxed semi-formal style with wedding bow ties for men and relaxed maxi dresses for women. Whatever you decide, make sure all guests are informed.

Thoughtful Activities

Since you are only organising a wedding for the twenty closest people in your life, you can personalise activities and make them more thoughtful. Maybe you have a history of pub games with friends, then why not include a special foosball table or pool table to pass some spare time.

Also, remember at smaller weddings the dynamics are slightly different; there’s less chance your guests will get up on the dance floor for extended periods, so it might be better to opt for another form of entertainment such as lawn games, murder mystery events, a live band or even a Wedding Magician

Live Band

Speaking of live bands, these are an excellent choice for a small intimate wedding. Live bands have energy and personality and keep you on your feet for hours. With a live band, you have the additional benefit of choosing a music style that means something to your friendship group.
