The best Rosè for Weddings

The best Rosè for Weddings

Rosè Wine is one of the most versatile Wines, from soft and juicy offerings for lazy days around the pool to sophisticated and delicate styles, crisp and clear from cold maceration techniques. The wide variety of foods that extend open hands to Rosè makes it one of the most gregarious of pairing wines.

Rosè Wines get their delicate hue from the juice sharing a brief interlude with the skins. The interaction of skins and juice allows the winemaker to manipulate the Wine’s flavour and colour.

Grenache is the favoured grape used to make Rosè in France, while Tempranillo is the leading contributor to Spanish Rosé. Other grape varieties used for Rosé wine production are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and my favourite, Pinot Noir.

Morning Weddings in a Summer Garden are what romance is all about. There is a host of superb sparkling rosé wines to lend an air of delicacy and style. Let’s look at some leading labels to fill your morning with bubbles of happiness.

Antech Emotion Cremant de Limoux Rose

With six generations of experience producing this Sparkling Wine, the Antech Family has created the perfect example of the subtle beauty of a rosé Cremant. The Vineyard in Languedoc follows the Champagne method to produce this Wine.

A delicious blend of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Mauzac, and Pinot Noir rests for eighteen months on the lees, which bestows a rich complexity on the Wine.

An eight-gram dosage is added when the Wine is disgorged, inviting an element of sweetness to the Wine.

The Wine is smooth with a hint of citrus and a long-lasting mousse. The fragrance of Rose Petals blends with crushed red berries and lemon zest.

A perfect companion to canapes of salmon or tuna, this Cremant will dance a delicate duet with a wide variety of foods, from creamy pasta to savoury snacks.

Mirabeau La Folie Sparkling Rose

A lovely, fairly recent addition to the wines from the Mirabeau Vineyards on the Cote d’ Azur, Provance, is a delicious blend of Cinsaut, Syrah, Grenache, and Collambard.

The emphasis on freshness and lightness entails harvesting the grapes at night. The Charmat production method produces wonderful tiny bubbles filled with hints of strawberries and raspberries.

The delicately pale Rosé is a bouquet of lemon and grapefruit aromas blended with peach and red berries. Perfect for a sunny morning in the garden as an accompaniment to seafood and salads.

Chateau Miraval Rose 2021

The Chateau Miraval Rosé 2021 is a beautiful example of an organic Wine from Provance. It has become one of the most popular Rosé Wines Worldwide. The four-hundred-hectare estate in Provance includes thirty hectares of vines. Created by Tom Bove, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie now own the organic estate.

The coppery hue is an invitation to savour the aromas of dried flowers, strawberries, and peaches. Ideal for sunny days, the freshness of the ripe cherry and apricot flavours linger on the tongue.

The Wine is a perfect partner for mature, hard cheeses, pan-fried seafood, and salads.

Vina Vik La Piu Belle Rose 2020

This Rosé is a delightful example of the top quality Wines produced in Chile. Alexandra Vik founded the estate in Millahue almost twenty years ago to create world-class Chilean wines.

The name of the Wine translated from the language of the region’s indigenous people means ‘the most beautiful—a most appropriate name for this Wine.

There is a freshness about this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah. Nuances of fresh berries, grapefruit, and ripe melon delight the nose, while the taste is one of exceptional freshness.

Vina Vik La Piu Belle Rosé 2020 is a perfect wine to share in a garden filled with sunshine and friends.

Graci Etna Rosato 2020

Now for a little Italian celebration. As the name suggests, this wine’s origin lies in the lava-rich black soils of Mount Etna. Alberta Graci produces this Wine from eighteen hectares of vineyards over six-hundred meters above sea level.

The Nerello Mascalese grape thrives in the volcanic Sicilian soils, and Alberta Graci Etna Rosato 2020 uses organic methods to cultivate the famous Etna region grape.

The wine is fermented in concrete tanks and matured in Stainless Steel tanks for six months.

The colour of the wine gives a subtle hint of appropriate pairings. Salmon and other kinds of seafood or perhaps a creamy risotto are perfect partners for this wine.

On the nose, dried herbs linger with fresh raspberries and strawberries, while the bright berry flavours balance the minerality-induced taste.

Weddings range from casual barefoot beach occasions to formal evening events. Fortunately, Rosé Wines have the flexibility to embrace the whole spectrum of these celebrations. The delicate flavours and subtle hues seem to beckon guests to enjoy the festivities. A little sunshine to accompany a perfect day.
