Low-key & Intimate Hand-fasting Wedding: Emma & Tim

We married at The Love Shack, Knutsford, UK. This elopement wedding venue so was perfect for our requirements – small, and intimate and helped us avoid family feuds – it meant the wedding was about US and what we wanted.

Wedding Dress

My wedding dress was custom-made based on a photo of a dress I found online 10 years ago and always said if I got married again that was the dress I wanted. It made me smile every time I looked at the photo so I didn’t even bother trying any other dresses on.

Love Story

Tim and I met walking our dogs on the field – a real-life 101 Dalmatian Love Story – we had that written into our wedding introduction by the registrar and I had a bespoke framed print made by (Instagram) @emmajackson.art as a wedding present for Tim which featured all three of our dogs and The Love Shack.

Intimate Wedding Day

We didn’t have a style or theme for the wedding. We just went with what we liked and what felt right to us and on the day – we were very easygoing. The wedding wasn’t what we originally had planned – there were some family issues rumbling away in the background and Covid was still very much at the forefront of everyone’s mind at the time, so we made the decision to go intimate and low-key – and it turned out to be our perfect day.

Memorable Moments

Saying my vows and the hand-tying ceremony were some of the most memorable moments. I found it very emotional and felt every word I said. Tim said the first look was his favourite moment. He says it blew him away.

Mr Sleeve

After booking Mr Sleeve our wedding photographer I discovered he was friends with my best friend and lives literally round the corner from us! Immediately put us at ease and had the same artistic vision and style as we did.
