Non-traditional brides searching for unique wedding dresses need to see today’s post. Colourful & quirky wedding dresses are aplenty!
Lucy Can’t Dance has created a playful, fun and elegant collection of wedding dresses that have unique detailing… like dip-dye detailing – bright pops of colour or subtle and pretty hues. The use of lace in the show-stopping backs or cool crop tops is definitely a look I’m loving, and I think you will too…
Lucy Can’t Dance is a bespoke dressmaker specialising in quirky dresses for non-traditional brides. Experimenting with laces and colour techniques to give you exciting, elegant and unique wedding dress designs.
Lucy loves bold laces, dip dye silk skirts, breathtaking back details and buttons. All of Lucy’s dresses are handmade in her studio. Colours and details can be altered to suit your style and vision.
The new collection
I’ve been working and designing the new collection for the past 6 months. I love lace so I have searched the globe looking for exciting new fabrics.
I have also been experimenting with different dyes and colour techniques to give you some interesting new ideas to spice up the traditional Ivory wedding dress.
A lot of things have inspired me while designing this collection. I am always a lover of vintage clothing and some of these designs definitely have a 1920s feel to them. My love of lace gives the dresses a fresh bohemian vibe.
My favourite dress from the collection is Heart of Glass. This dress has 800 flowers all hand-sewn onto the bodice. It took hours and hours to make this dress but I’m so happy with the end result. The tulle skirt is dip dyed in a subtle frost grey.
