Pretty Pops of Pink Barn Wedding: Jack & Harriet

We attended a wedding fayre at Mythe Barn and both really fell in love with it as soon as we saw it! The interior was stunning – elegant but still cosy and intimate and it was surrounded by gorgeous countryside which would be a beautiful backdrop for the photographs. For us, it was our dream wedding venue.

I always wanted a big ball gown wedding dress. I tried on loads of different styles but as soon as I put this one on, I just fell in love with it and never wanted to take it off. I loved the delicate lace around the neckline and hemline and the small train. It was also great that it had a bustle feature for dancing in the evening.

I purchased a brand new diamonte belt from eBay that my seamstress attached for me for a little bit of sparkle and I also wore a pair of pink bowed Kurt Geiger shoes.

I walked down the aisle with my older sister, Emily to a piano cover of one of our religious songs.

Murray Clarke our wedding photographer was the perfect choice for our wedding day. As a photographer myself (Bride), I had really high expectations from a photographer and had a specific style that I wanted to achieve, also, we valued the photos really highly as they capture the memories of the whole day.

Murray really lived up to the high expectations and went out of his way to get perfect shots. I couldn’t have been happier with the album. He was worth every penny and came dressed so smartly and got on well with all our guests.

I’m a typical girly girl who loves all shades of pink flowers, especially peonies and frilly flowers. As peonies weren’t in season for my wedding, our florist gathered as many frilly flowers as they could find to give me the look I really loved and the result was stunning!

Our wedding cake was made by our close family-friend, Ruth, as a gift to us.

If we could impart any advice for other couples getting married we would say… It’s so easy to get wrapped up with making everything look and feel perfect, but looking back now, the most important thing is you’re together with all the people you love the most.

We’re so glad we prioritised a good photographer as it keeps the memories alive and looking back on them you can remember all the little details you spent so long planning and you also get to see moments that you missed on the day, like your guests enjoying themselves and having fun.

Congratulation Harriet & Jack!
