Happy New Year lovelies!!
I hope you’ve had an amazing time and massive congratulations if you are a newbie engaged and here for the very first time. Yay! So pleased to meet you :))
Today’s inspirational feature is an utterly gorgeous bridal shoot with a chic and rustic winter vibe. It’s full of uber pretty details and lots of stylish textures that you associate with the colder months.
So if you’re planning a glam winter wedding perhaps the decadent details in this shoot will leave you feeling super inspired.
Weddings are so often pictured and imagined in the summer sun, with sun kissed faces and long loose blonde hair.. but I wanted to pull on the more chic side of the Westmill Venue, and take advantage of it’s edgier style, AND the colder weather.
There’s something about the colder months, which incites a more glamorous style.. fur, diamante, sequins and deep berry lipstick are like the indulgences we give ourselves as the days get shorter, and the air gets crisper.
I wanted the rugged industrial glow of the venue ceiling, once a working mill which retains much of it’s character, to reflect in the textures of the shoot; the brick walls, the iron beams, the slate floors, suede shoes, sequin dresses, glowing ornamentation on a bride’s shoulder, matte lipstick, succulents berries and plums tumbling from deep bronze table wear- pure wintry opulence.
We all love a boho bride, and one day I hope to be one.. but it was exciting to create something bolder, edgier and almost crisper in look. The team were an absolute dream to work with, and really trusted my vision.
Thank you so much to the wonderful team of wedding suppliers who made this shoot happen and for sharing with the WTW blog!
