Afternoon again laaaaadies, I’m back with part deux of Sophie & Adam’s understated boho vintage wedding! And part 2 is a reet corker! Jam packed with soooo much wedding DIY pretty, you’re likely to OD… enjoy XxX
If you missed part 1 {booo}, have a quick little peek here.
We took inspiration from the venue – and went for a rustic theme, with art deco inspired stationery.
We went to a car boot sale and found some really cool old frames that we used for our table planner, as well as a sign that I made for outside with our names on it, and battered old wooden box that we used for our cards/ gifts.
We bought linen and made our own rustic napkins with frayed edges, tied them in brown twine and had names printed on wooden tags.
We collected jars , wrapped them in the same linen and twine and had wild flowers in them on the tables.
Our table names were a bit random! They were tube stops in London where we had our first dates, or were significant in some way. The head table was Covent Garden – where we had our first date.
The cake we chose was Marshmellow Meringue Obsession. We liked the ‘rustic’ look of it, and because I’m from New Zealand we thought the meringue was a nice nod to Pavlova – which is a kiwi favourite.
It was amazing!!
Pinterest was a great source of inspiration for me as well as Rock n’ Roll Bride, Hitched and Want That Wedding of course!
Our first dance was to ‘God only knows’ by the Beach Boys. This is Adam’s favourite song. We both love the lyrics.
My advice to brides planning a wedding? Don’t sweat the small stuff!
Well that’s it ladies, Sophie & Adam’s wedding. What do you think? I absolutely love the chilled out, relaxed vibe. Everyone looks like they’re having so much fun!
