It’s real wedding time on WTW again (triple yay!!!) and today I have an absolute beauty to share with you! Mr & Mrs Penny planned a stunning and timeless, destination wedding in Lake Como, Italy. Eat your heart out Mr & Mrs Clooney ;)
Our real bride wore the most stunning wedding dress like ever, evvver. A gorgeous Mira Zwillinger number purchased at Browns Bride in London. With the help of a wedding planner, this gorgeous couple executed a beautiful, flower filled day, full of love and Italian romance.

My wedding dress was by Mira Zwillinger via Browns Bride in London. This was the first dress I tried on and was very light, easy to wear and suited my figure. This dress was perfect for our Lake Como wedding!
Our wedding day was inspired by Lake Como itself. A white and natural colour scheme was chosen for the flowers, and our day was full of romantic, classic and timeless details.
My bridal shoes were sandals from Jimmy Choo and my necklace, earrings and bracelet are from Monica Vinader.
Our wedding flowers were arranged by Figli Dei Fiori. We chose a classic, timeless and modern colour scheme of white and green.
The bridesmaid dresses were purchased from Joesph.
Our wedding photographer was the amazing Fiona Clair. We were so inspired by her work and blog!
The dress code for our guests was summer on the lake.
For the wedding favours we had custom white & gold boxes with our personalised C&L logo with almonds in, designed and supplied by our wedding planner – Elena Renzi. We also had limoncello bottles that we made ourselves – limoncello from Italy, tags from ‘not on the high street’, glass bottles ordered online.
If you could impart any words of wisdom for future brides?
If planning your wedding in less than a year (like us) it does have its stressful moments – especially if abroad, but enjoy every minute of it from your first dress fitting, to designing the invitations, the food tasting and meeting with all your suppliers.
You will miss the planning when it’s over and want to reply the day all over again – it goes by so quickly. Enjoy it!
What was your most memorable moment from the day?
Everything! From my new husbands wonderful speech, to saying our vows in the ceremony and to sharing our special day with our wonderful family and friends.
Our first dance as a married couple was to Savage Garden ‘I knew I loved You’ (sung by a singer).
