Destination Wedding
Cameron and Shelby were infatuated with each other instantly. They first met in the college gym. Shelby was meeting with a friend who just happened to be working out with Cameron that day.
Soon after, Shelby invited Cameron to join a group that was planning to attend a concert. Little did they know that night would change the rest of their lives.
Six years later, on a trip to Vermont to visit Shelby’s family, the two were engaged. They decided to attend a sailing boat festival that weekend. Cameron proposed with a backdrop of sailboats near the quant lighthouse; it was perfectly romantic.
The Wilburton Inn offered its turn-of-the-century mansion to Cameron and Shelby’s wedding with a sunshine-y state of mind. The couple resides in Florida but chose to host their wedding in Vermont due to Shelby’s family ties and the memories they shared from road trips together.
They chose a few important elements to highlight: their love of family and the beautiful landscape of the state. Delicately decorated in flowers and greenery, the ceremony was set in front of a sentimental arbour built by Shelby’s uncle. It included a stained glass window as well as hand-carved cardinal birds.
The afternoon was set with a happy backdrop against the green hills in the distance. Vibrant pops of colour made their way to the wedding cake, into the floral arrangements, and along the tablescapes set with citrus fruits. Even Shelby’s cobalt-coloured heels served as a reminder of their Floridian hearts.
